The electric actuator of ball valve is an indispensable and important component of automatic control system. It receives control signals given by the controller or manual, amplifies their power, and converts them into corresponding angle or linear displacement of the output shaft. It continuously or intermittently pushes various control mechanisms, such as control valves and baffles, to complete the control of various parameters in the production process. Driven by a three-phase asynchronous motor and decelerated by a worm gear, the hollow output shaft is driven to output torque, which is called a ball valve electric actuator.
The working process of electric actuators for ball valves is generally divided into three stages:
(1) In the input sampling stage, the PLC sequentially reads in all input states and data in a scanning manner, and stores them in the corresponding units in the I/O image area. After the input sampling is completed, it enters the user program execution and output refresh phase.
(2) During the user program execution phase, the PLC always scans the user program in a top-down order. When scanning each ladder diagram, always scan the control circuit composed of each contact on the left side of the ladder diagram first, and perform logical operations on the control circuit composed of the contacts in the order of left to right and top to bottom.
(3) After scanning the user program, the PLC enters the output refresh stage. During this period, the CPU refreshes all output latch circuits according to the state and data corresponding to the I/O image area, and then drives the corresponding peripherals through the output circuit.
Ball valve electric actuators have many advantages, such as light weight, small size, high control accuracy, and convenient adjustment and maintenance. According to different needs, the valve can be driven to complete full opening, full closing or positioning operations. The production of electric actuators for ball valves mainly includes different requirements such as angular stroke, straight stroke, adjustable type, remote control type, and switch type.
